Thank you, Marine Parents Travel Assistance!

On Friday, July 25, 2025, Marine Parents Travel Assistance sent Lisa, Mother of a recruit, to San Diego for the recruit's graduation from India Company to become a Marine.
I am a single mom and just had my spine rebuilt again, with multiple surgeries throughout the time my son was in boot camp. Having medical issues creates tremendous hardship, so the opportunity to see him graduate in person was the biggest blessing. It is one we will never forget. Marine Parents helped every step of the way from the moment my son left the recruiting office. They helped prepare us with information and armed us with knowledge by sharing their experience and offering advice. They helped connect us with support from fellow families, which is truly invaluable. Though my father is a Vietnam Marine era veteran, having that recent experience from other parents was so crucial in getting through those 13 weeks. The travel assistance is such a tremendous program and assists those who would not be able to go otherwise. Thank you to everyone who volunteers and donates, be it your time or financial resources, to help parents on this challenging yet beautiful journey. Thank you for all that you do. Lisa, New Marine Mom
