We are truly grateful that Marine Parents helped us with our travel expenses so that we were able to travel to San Diego to see our new Marine. Unfortunately, graduation was canceled and we were unable to attend graduation. We made the best of the situation, picked up our Marine and spent time with him. At this time we are in a pickle due to having to self-quarantine in Kansas upon our return. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for all your help!

Our family day was canceled and family was not able to attend the Graduation for India Company due to Coronavirus. Soooo sad, but we understand the situation. Even so, I want to thank MarineParents so much for financially supporting us to attend my Marine's Graduation. We were able to support him and cheer him up. We were able to see my Marine practice drill in the early morning on Wednesday. We also stayed at the billeting at MCRD SD and we were able to watch graduation practice before family day. 13 weeks was long but it is all so worthy.

Watching Zachary Bergman Graduate was the best feeling to my family. We were so excited to see him after 13 weeks. All the hard work Zachary put in made him happy to have us there to see him March into the Parade deck. Thank you so much for offering this grant to my family. We loved the tshirts. Ooh-Rah!!! I would like to thank the Marine Parents Travel Assistance Group for assisting me with the expenses for traveling to San Diego to see my only son, James Miller III, nicknamed Cornfed by his recruit buddies, graduate from basic training at MCRD on December 13th with Mike Co, 3rd Battalion. It was an amazing experience that not only his whole family was proud of, but also he was proud of himself!!! We had 12 family members with us from Alabama and Colorado! Everything turned out wonderful!!! That look on his face when he saw us there and the hug he gave me was so memorable!!! Thank you again so much!!!

Words can not describe the immense amount of pride I feel for my new Marine! The ceremony was absolutely the most beautiful ceremony I have ever seen. I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Traveling can be expensive, even when you are trying to be conservative.
